You Are Not Alone
  

An estimated 3,000 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma each year in the United States alone. Most are men in their 60's or 70's. Mesothelioma victims come from diverse backgrounds and locales, but have one thing in common-exposure to asbestos.

This page will feature the stories of mesothelioma patients and other victims of asbestos, as well as stories from their friends and loved ones. We hope that the stories posted here will provide insight into the effects of mesothelioma and inspiration to continue to fight against this terrible disease. We will also post information on how to contact others who are willing to talk about their experiences and lend a compassionate ear.

   cancer fatigue; cancer patients can also have their

   support with trained volunteers to cancer patients and

   their families.

 

Cancer Supportive Care Programs -

   This site contains supportive care information including

   nutrition, fatigue, anemia and pain control.

 

Corporate Angel Network -

   The Corporate Angel Network provides cancer patients

   with free air transportation to and from medical

   facilities using empty seats on corporate aircraft.

   Patients must meet certain qualifications, but do not

   need to meet any financial need criteria.

 

The Hospice Web -

   This site stresses whole person care and provides a

   means for locating suitable hospices.

 

The Alliance for Lung Cancer Advocacy, Support and

   Education -

   ALCASE is a nationally based organization devoted to

   improving the quality of life for people with lung cancer

   through education, support, advocacy and

   rehabilitation. This site provides information on lung

   cancer, clinical trials and provides a connection to

   others with lung cancer.
